Description | Objectives: - Achieve full equality for Roma and ensure their rights protection without discrimination - Work for the effective implementation of legal and political instruments at European and national level advancing Roma’s equality standards, including preparing the ground for a post-2020 EU Roma strategy - Empower ERIO network and Roma by strengthening their capacity to participate in decision-making at local and national levels - Raise awareness and promote Roma civic and political participation - Fight stereotypes and prejudices against Roma Activities: - Recommendations - Workshop - Conference - Training - Network capacity building mission trips - Multi-stakeholders meetings - Survey - Campaign - Video - Snapshots Type and number of persons benefiting from the activities: - Roma: 1000 - Roma women: 100 - Roma youth: 120 - Roma LGBT: 10 - Anti-discrimination professionals: 30 - National/local authorities: 20 - NGOs: 100 - EU policy makers: 50 - Media: 25 - General public: 1000 Expected results: - Better implementation of legal and political instruments that advance the human rights and equality standards of Roma and the application of Roma related policies - Increased capacity of anti-discrimination bodies to effectively implement EU anti-discrimination legislation and to assist Roma victims of discrimination - Increased capacity of ERIO network and Roma activists, including Roma women, young and LGBT to better advocate at European, national and local levels. - Increased awareness of Roma about their right to vote and civic rights.
