An Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system will enable Metrolinx to store baseline data about assets, the network, asset age, and condition. It will help support and prioritize investments required to ensure Metrolinx assets are kept in a state of good repair. Phase 1 is anticipated to go live in March 2018. Phase 1 of the EAM system would include all of the Metrolinx Guideway assets including Rail Corridors (track, signals, bridges and structures, right of way), Light Rail (track, right of way), Bus Rapid Transit (right of way). Having a single complete and accurate source of asset information including condition, valuation, age and condition supports service reliability, safety and enables increased evidence-based decision making for ensuring assets are kept in a state of good repair.
