The project will cover East Mediterranean Region of Turkey (NUTS2 - TR62 and TR63), from east to west Mersin, Adana, Kahramanmaras, Hatay and Osmaniye provinces are included within the region. The consortium proposing Enterprise Europe Network-East Mediterranean (EEN-EASTMED) project is formed by Kahramanmaras KOSGEB KSC, Adana Chamber of Commerce, Kahramanmaras Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Cukurova Technopark. The objective of this proposal is to provide the best standards of business and innovation services with accessibility and good quality to SMEs as a part of a single network in order to increase their institutional capacities, to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of SME’s, raise awareness on EU related topics and promote visibility and brand of EEN in the region and to play a key role in the community as a valued provider of business and innovation services for SMEs. EASTMED project services will focus on the essential innovation, R&D, IPR, international business management, business and innovation partnership and easy access to finance problems and needs of the SME’s and other target audiences. EASTMED project will raise awareness of SMEs in the geographical coverage on EU policies, regulations, and their potential impacts on their day to day business, providing a warning to companies that will be most affected from the changes in national environmental legislation in line with harmonization with EU, enhancing the internationalization skills of its target group, bridging the gap in access to information to foreign markets, inform and qualify SMEs with IPR, innovation and transnational technology transfer, raise their innovation management capacity and also inform them about R&D funds and increase their skills to realize technology transfer and to participate international R&D projects and other EU funded projects to cooperate with European counterparts.
