Enterprise Europe Network Scotland (EES) will cover the whole of the NUTS1 area of Scotland through a consortium of three partners: Scotland’s two Regional Development Agencies: Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise, and The Enterprise Trust for the Highlands: Highland Opportunity Ltd. The overarching objective of EES is to foster EU competitiveness and growth by providing a fully integrated, quality and impact driven support service to Scottish businesses,particularly SMEs, with international and innovation ambitions: linked to other Enterprise Europe Network services in the UK, Europe and in third countries. In line with EU2020 and the Scottish Government’s strategies, EES will promote the aims of transition to a low carbon, resource efficient economy. Additionality will lie at the core of what we do, exploiting synergies between EISF, COSME and H2020: EES will provide a defined differentiated service seamlessly integrated into the existing business and innovation support infrastructure, built on professionalism, quality and recognised value-add and designed to create impact for our clients, the Scottish economy and Europe. We aspire to be an Enterprise Europe Network Node of Excellence and a service provider of choice: for our client SMEs, for our Scottish stakeholders and business support partners, for our EEN colleagues in the UK, Europe and across the world and, last but not least, for the European Commission and EASME.
