(Altiero Spinelli - European Parliament 1984 – February 14th) Also in 2020 EEN is ready to go out once again and soon offshore to catch the fish (opportunities for SMEs), to protect it (providing tailored services to the Clients) and protect it to the sharks (working for the Internazionalization overcoming the barriers and every kind of boarders). The 2020 -2021 TOR confirms that the main EEN aim is to be recognized by SMEs and stakeholders as the indispensable “European arm” of regional/national business support system, with a clear European added value and providing services that are highly valued by clients. Designing the role of the EEN as “European Arm”, ELSE is at a crossroad: a) Reinforcing the role of the Consortium as one of the local stakeholders, a door open to all the Network, b) Affirming the role of the Consortium a “primus inter pares” among the local stakeholders, an Hub towards the Network partners (Spokes), c) Affirming the role of the Consortium a “primus inter pares” among the local stakeholders, an Hub towards both the Network partners (EEN Spokes) and the Regional ecosystem providing services for SMEs (local Spokes).
