Environmental Assessment Strategic Plan and Sustainability Framework for the Downtown Etobicoke Creek Revitalization Project

Brampton’s vision for the Downtown core encompasses a complete economic and natural system revitalization facilitated by a large scale construction of a flood mitigation project along the Etobicoke Creek. The Plan will allow for coordination of related projects. In particular, an innovative, first in Ontario, 2D 3-way coupled hydraulic model will allow for analysis of stressors on the stormwater management system. The Framework will establish a vision and criteria for sustainable landscapes. Scope of work to include the completion of an Environmental Assessment Master Plan (Phase 1), which will include an assessment of four existing bridge crossings, buried infrastructure and stormsewer connections to the channel.
