Description

Description

The project involves the development of the Environmental Complex of Gipuzkoa Phase I biomethanization and slag treatment plant. The project is located on an area of almost 32,000 square meters in the Eskuzaitzeta polygon, about 300 meters from the phase I project in the area of the Zubieta, on the border between San Sebastián and Usurbil in Spain. The facility can accommodate to treat an initial capacity of 40,000 tons per year of organic matter selectively collected, in a process different from that of composting that will generate biogas and produce an estimated amount of energy of 9,500 MWH / year, equivalent to the consumption of 2,700 homes. On the other hand, the slag plant treats solid waste from the incinerator and can accommodate up to 52,000 tons / year and will transform it into "aggregates" that can be used for landfills and roads in public works.
