The FC project supports the government of Madhya Pradesh by financing investments in wastewater disposal in five small and medium-sized towns (20,000 - 150,000 inhabitants). The project is being implemented by the state-owned Madhya Pradesh Urban Development Company (MPUDC), which is to implement the infrastructure measures on behalf of the municipalities. The module objective of the project is to improve the quality and quantity of the supply of the urban population with environmentally relevant infrastructure through central and decentralized wastewater disposal. The investment measures are financed by the project sponsor MPUDC. In addition, there are two accompanying measures to ensure technical quality and sustainable operation as well as for educational measures to improve hygiene and health, totaling EUR 2.5 million.
