Description | The Mooi Plaats Solar PV Project is a 240MW solar facility developed by Envusa Energy, a joint venture between Anglo American and EDF Power Solutions, located in South Africa's Northern Cape. It is the first project in the 520MW Koruson 2 renewable energy cluster to commence commercial operations, supplying renewable electricity to Valterra Platinum, De Beers, and Kumba Iron Ore under 20-year offtake agreements. The project features 416,324 bifacial photovoltaic modules on a single-axis tracker system, with a DC capacity of 283.1MW and expected annual generation of approximately 360 million kilowatt-hours. |
