Description
Description | Idryma Kratikon Ypotrofion (IKY) with its long-standing experience since 1951 has a renowned history in contributing to the European Union (EU) objectives through the administration of EU programmes since 1987. IKY through the operation of the National Agency for Education and Training (Erasmus+ NA) has valued the contribution of Adult Education, adhered to its principles and served the Sector. The European Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE) has been considered by IKY as an important tool for supporting its Erasmus+ Adult Education beneficiaries as well as fostering Adult Education Sector at national and european level. Within this framework, IKY since 2019 has joined the common european vision of rendering EPALE the online home of a lively transnational community of adult learning professionals and stakeholders in Europe, comprising communities of interest, purpose, practice and action. The preconditions for a quality implementation are fulfilled through IKY’s experienced staff and the developed project management, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation strategy. Communication policy is at the centre of the new EPALE project in view of maximising impact and ensuring EPALE’s and the project’s sustainability. Measurable indicators are set, will be measured, evaluated and ameliorative actions will be undertaken ιn case deviations appear. It is important to note that a special focus will be given to rendering the EPALE platform a tool for promoting and contributing to the implementation of the european priorities, namely Inclusion and diversity, Digital transformation, Environment and fight against climate change and Participation in democratic life. |
