Equality Festival

ongoing

Equality Festival means the expression of partners towards acceptance of equal opportunities and non-discrimination in all areas of life. In this way, the partners respond to current problems, such as the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, rising prices, climate change, inequality in society, and the war in Ukraine. All partners have to struggle with these problems. The topic of equality has an important place in the present time, as it is often absent. We are talking about equality between the sexes, equality of opportunities for seniors and young people, equality of opportunities for refugees from Ukraine, equality of man and nature. Debate means different opinions, different opinions bring solutions. The project brings a way to find solutions suitable for all partners, applicable even outside the partnership. Five partners from four European countries will participate in the implementation of the project. Together we can solve more problems than on an individual level. The Town Twinning project is an excellent opportunity to meet and create space for debate. In order for citizens to be more identified with the topic of equality, we also included activities aimed at cross-cultural presentations, getting to know traditions and connecting citizens. By creating informal relationships, we will help citizens to reach a level of increasing interest in the needs of equality in the partnership and across Europe. Through a joint debate, we will show what kind of Europe we wish to have, what kind of partnership based on equality we want. This will give the project added value. Based on the above, the goals of the project are as follows: 1) to support debate about the future of Europe 2) to look for solutions related to problems Europe is facing 3) to introduce EU values as elements of connecting communities, partners, and EU countries 4) to develop intercultural dialogue 5) to enforce equality in all spheres of life
