"""Equals in Sport"" is a dynamic and inclusive initiative aimed at promoting the active participation and integration of individuals with intellectual disabilities in sports in general and basketball in concrete. Recognizing the transformative power of sports in fostering equality, social inclusion, and personal development, this project main goal is to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for everyone to engage in physical activities. The project intends to raise awareness of the role of sport in promoting social full and real inclusion, a better understanding of what intellectual disability means and represents, highlight the benefits that the practice of sport has for these persons and the normalization of their participation together with the rest of the people, as well as awakening empathy towards them."
