Equatorial Guinea - Institutional Support Project to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development

The present intervention concerns the Institutional Support Project for the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development. It’s designed to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Equatorial Guinea in the area of national economic management. The project should make it possible to: (i) improve investment programming and project evaluation and monitoring capacities at the MPDE, (ii) improve economic planning activities and their methodological approach, (iii) improve statistical data production and processing capacities, (iv) endow the MPDE in a sustainable manner with a minimum of national skills to fulfil its missions, (v) improve the efficiency and performance of the Bank's projects. The project has four components, namely (1) technical assistance; (2) staff training (abroad or on site); (3) equipment (vehicles and microcomputers); and (4) project operations.
