Description | Equipment being replaced includes one of four aging traveling screens and associated valves, refurbishment of a backwash pump, replacement of dissolved ozone analyzers, replacement of the pump motors cooling water system, and replacement of chlorine and sample lines for the water intake. Equipment replacement at the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant is not covered under the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) operating contract. The Lakeview facility is relied upon by approximately 800,000 residents in the eastern portion of Peel Region and a small portion of the population in the southwest York Region for clean and reliable drinking water. |
