Equus Gas Project

Equus Energy Limited is developing the Equus Gas Project offshore Western Australia. The project involves capital-efficient gas production via tie-backs to existing offshore platforms, pipelines, and onshore LNG and domestic gas infrastructure to supply both export and local markets. Pre-front end engineering and design work is nearing completion, with technical studies and development planning maturing two competing tie-back concepts to existing LNG and domestic gas facilities. The project aims to leverage proximity to established North West Shelf infrastructure to lower upfront capital costs, accelerate market access, and support finalisation of a field development plan, cost estimates, and project economics. Preparations for a structured partnering process to facilitate future project development, potential sell-downs, and offtake agreements are underway, supported by ongoing study cost contributions from Alcoa under a funding and gas sales agreement.
