Description

Description

The OeAD as the National Support Service (NSS) of EPALE, with reference to the priorities of the Call 2022-2024, the objectives of the European Skills Agenda 2020 (with its target of 60% of working age adults in Europe participating in learning by 2030) and the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan, will contribute to the goal defined in the Call to further develop the E-Platform for Adult Learning in Europe (EPALE) into an online platform for a vibrant transnational community of adult learning professionals in Europe in order to foster regular communication between adult education practitioners; promote and facilitate their professional development; facilitate the provision and exchange of adult education resources and support policies and activities to increase adult participation in learning. Based on the successfully implemented work of the past years, EPALE Austria will continue to contribute to equal opportunities for adult learners in society and in a dynamic labor market by providing high quality information to the target group of adult educators. In line with the call, the expected short and medium term impact of EPALE activities in Austria and Europe includes: Empowerment of adult educators through the European dimension of EPALE, provision of high quality, accurate and relevant information to adult education practitioners and continuation of building an adult education community on EPALE where users feel welcome and trust the information presented on the platform. The long-term impact of the activities of EPALE Austria and Europe is to create more and better learning opportunities for adults and thus to ensure a higher participation of adults in learning in Europe.
