Description | This project seeks funding to support participation in the Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS) 2025-2026 cycle, which examines working conditions of teachers and school principals at ISCED levels 0 (early childhood) and 2 (lower secondary education). Italy participates only in ISCED 2. The objectives of this project are to collect comprehensive data on teacher professional development, teaching practices, and workplace conditions; assess school leadership effectiveness and learning environments; generate evidence-based insights on teacher job satisfaction, appraisal systems, and feedback mechanisms; contribute to the development of the European Education Area through comparative international data. Key activities are the implementation of TALIS survey for ISCED level 2 (lower secondary education); data collection, processing, and national-level analysis; compliance with OECD quality standards and international comparability requirements. Expected Impact The project will strengthen evidence-based policy development for: • Teaching profession enhancement: Providing data to improve teacher working conditions and professional development • European education policy: Supporting monitoring and progress evaluation within the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training. Relevance This initiative directly supports EU priorities for high-quality education systems, while providing valuable comparative data for national and European policy development. |
