Description

Description

The Neurasmus programme is a pioneering European Master’s in Neuroscience, offering high-quality interdisciplinary training across multiple top-tier universities. Initially launched in 2010, it has evolved to meet the growing demands of neuroscience education, with a focus on integrating advanced techniques such as neurocomputation, AI, and ethics. The programme aims to equip students with the skills necessary to address the complexity of modern neuroscience, bridging academic research and societal needs. Objectives include fostering academic excellence, promoting international collaboration, enhancing employability, and providing robust career development support. The programme’s interdisciplinary approach enables students to gain expertise in a broad range of neuroscience topics, including neuropharmacology, neurophysiology, and computational neuroscience. Neurasmus also integrates entrepreneurship, leadership, and transferable skills to prepare graduates for careers both in academia and the private sector. Key activities include mobility between at minimum two partner universities, hands-on research experience, and specialised workshops, as well as joint degree offerings. The programme partners with industry leaders, research labs, and academic institutions, providing students with access to cutting-edge research and real-world experience. The inclusion of ethics and open science principles ensures that students are prepared to address the ethical challenges in neuroscience research. The current iteration, Neurasmus 4.0, builds on the strengths of previous versions, with an emphasis on innovation and modernizing the curriculum to reflect new developments in the field. It addresses emerging needs such as the integration of AI in neuroscience, supports diverse career pathways, and strengthens the impact of its alumni network. Neurasmus continues to lead in neuroscience education, with a vision to expand its global reach and ensure that graduates add
