The aim of the EMDI BAG project is to develop a joint Master programme in International Business & Geopolitics, which is highly relevant in today’s world where global economic and political dynamics are deeply intertwined. The study programme will aim to equip students with analytical skills to assess geopolitical influences on business decisions, enhance strategic resilience and promote international collaboration through an interdisciplinary and multinational approach. By incorporating real-world case studies, partnerships with global institutions and student mobility pathways, the programme will ensure a comprehensive education that meets the needs of business and policy makers. The promotion of EU values, the focus on sustainable ecosystems and the innovative teaching structure make the programme a unique and timely addition to the higher education landscape and strengthen the international dimension of the European Education Area. Developed by 10 participating institutions, 7 members of the DIVERSE European University Alliance with the Seal of Excellence and 3 non-European partners, the programme will create an authentic international learning experience for students from all over the world while fostering transnational collaboration between teachers and researchers from the participating institutions. The project will bring together a total of 20 senior study field experts and curriculum design experts with clearly assigned responsibilities in the development of the curriculum and curriculum-related content and outcomes, as well as quality assurance experts with experience in transnational quality assurance of transnational higher education. The development of the joint study programme with student mobility embedded in the curriculum will follow the European Approach to Quality Assurance of Joint Programmes and the project will conclude with the submission of the study programme for accreditation to an EQAR-registered agency.
