Description

Description

"Mundus Journalism is a two-year Master’s programme with a proven track record of equipping global journalism students to become leaders and innovators in their field. From traditional and emerging forms of storytelling to media policy, international relations, and academic research, the programme prepares graduates to navigate and shape the rapidly evolving media landscape. As we seek to renew our EMJM status, we recognize the urgency of our mission in a world where journalism faces unprecedented challenges amid growing threats to global security. At this critical juncture, the next generation of journalists must be equipped to safeguard societal and political systems that uphold democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. In response, we propose a renewed programme centred on the theme of resilience. We have redefined our learning objectives to prepare students for uncertain professional and societal futures by enhancing their digital sensitivity and fostering adaptability. To operationalise resilience, we have introduced a dedicated committee to support students throughout their educational journey. A new specialisation and joint degree in Crisis & Conflict further underscore our commitment to equipping students to address global challenges. To ensure a diverse and inclusive cohort, we will introduce ""Resilience Scholarships"". These will not only promote global diversity but also support students committed to advancing core EU values, addressing urgent global priorities, and contributing to journalistic voices that champion democracy and human rights. A renewal of our EMJM status will enable us to continue attracting and supporting exceptional students globally. These students, in turn, will enrich the EHEA, contribute to the partner institutions’ academic environments, and graduate as resilient leaders ready to confront contemporary challenges while upholding the principles of democracy, justice, and human dignity."
