“ERASMUS-NET” project is proposed in the framework of Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium Enterprises (COSME), which includes the mobility of new entrepreneurs among the Actions to Promote Entrepreneurship. Since entrepreneurs and their new businesses are thought to be a key to European growth and competitiveness, promotion of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture has been included as one of the four main objectives of COSME. In this framework, “ERASMUS-NET” project aims to help new entrepreneurs from Cantabria (Spain), Crete (Greece), South West Region in Ireland, Podravska (Slovenia), Centre (Portugal) and Western Rumania enriching their experience, deepening their knowledge and expanding their network by spending periods in enterprises managed by experienced entrepreneurs from other countries. Thus, the overall objective is to contribute to enhance entrepreneurship, improve the international competitiveness of European SMEs and support potential start-ups and newly-established SMEs in the participating countries. The expected outputs of the present project are: • To involve 180 entrepreneurs in successful relationships, 90 as new entrepreneurs (NE) and 90 as host entrepreneurs (HE). Each partner will provide 15 matchings between NE and HE. The detailed distribution is as follows : • 120 entrepreneurs with 60 matchings between 60 NE and 60 HE from the regions involved in this project and other participating countries. • Additional 60 entrepreneurs with 30 matchings between 30 HE from the regions involved in this project with 30 NE from other participating countries. • To contribute to create new businesses, joint ventures and spin-off companies through cross-border business cooperation • To contribute to develop a network of NEs, HEs and Intermediary Organisations (IOs) in the framework of this Programme. • To enhance the international dimension of host entrepreneurs.
