Europass is a European project and an initiative of the European commission. We work together in a network of 36 National Europass Centres. The general objectives as defined by the commission: * Enabling citizens to clearly present their skills and qualification profiles, acquired either in formal, non-formal or informal settings, * quick and easy understanding of skills and qualifications, within and across national borders, by employers and by educational institutions in a fair, coherent and transparent way, is a precondition to promote mobility of learners and workers in Europe, so that these skills and qualifications can be effectively used for employability or for further learning. This approach enhances geographic mobility but also mobility across economic sectors and educational systems. * to work on simplification and better coordination between the different European policies and tools, to improve their impact and benefits for the citizen. NEC NL supports the system-level implementation and use of Europass tools at national level through strategic cooperation with relevant national authorities, other EU tools, services and networks, as well as through information sharing, peer learning and exchanges within and among networks. • We will combine effort around sharing knowledge with stakeholders in a more simple, efficient and effective way. • Within the consortium, in which Erasmus+, EURES, NCP, EQF, Euroguidance, ENIC-NARIC and ECVET are directly or indirectly represented. Eurodesk will also be involved. • Lifelong learning tools on the new Europass platform ESCO. • Within DUO, we will continue with our effort to link our diploma register to the certificate supplement and, in later stage, to include the diploma supplement, this is an activity that will take more years to accomplish. • NEC NL will organise study visits and is always willing to cooperate with other NECs. We are active within the working groups, and have an eye on networking possibilities.
