Description | The Erie Cattaraugus Rail Trail is a 27-mile multiuse trail project following the former Buffalo and Erie Railroad corridor from Orchard Park to Springville, New York. More than two decades after work began, only about half of the trail has been completed. Volunteers and the nonprofit organization are working to complete the trail, which aims to serve as both a recreational and active transportation corridor, connecting communities across the Southtowns. Additional funding through grants, fundraising, and community support is being pursued to finish the project. |
