Eritrea - Economic and Financial Management programme (EFMP)

The present intervention concerns the Economic and Financial Management program (EFMP). This programme is designed to provide Eritrea with the need institutions, systems, short-term experts, information management technology, analytical capacity and processes for policy formulation and implementation and the creation of a conducive environment for private sector development. The project is expect to produce five outputs: (1) effective project appraisal format and flow charts for various processes; (2) improved accounting, internal auditing and control system and appropriate manuals; (3) improved staff skills for project analysis and development credit delivery operations; (4) well-functioning information system and computerized credit operations; and (5) properly equipped offices and improved communications and transport facilities. The project consist of the following components: (a) training; (b) technical assistance; (c) equipment and vehicles; and (d) operating expenses for supplies.
