Description | The project involves the introduction of smart classrooms, upgraded infrastructure, and innovative learning spaces in government schools across Ernakulam district to enable them to compete with private institutions. It includes modernization of 15 schools as centres of excellence with Rs 5 crore investment each, upgrading 8 schools with advanced labs at Rs 3 crore each, infrastructure development in 28 schools at Rs 1 crore each, and enhancement of 7 schools at Rs 1.3 crore each. Additionally, 144 pre-primary schools have been equipped with Varna Koodaram classrooms costing Rs 10 lakh each, featuring interactive learning zones. Local self-governments have contributed to digital smart classrooms and scientific learning infrastructure upgrades, including digital libraries and skill development centres. |
