Project will place new riprap bank protection and replace existing sheeting on the bridge conveyance pinchpoints to provide protection and prevent erosion from peak flows generated from intense stormwater discharge from upstream areas. The placing of fill and rock protection to repair eroded areas and protect embankments has been noted in our most recent bridge inspection reports and will ensure safe and effective conveyance of peak flows during storm events. It is listed as a critical priority for our municipality. This project will improve stormwater conveyance and provide safety around the existing bridge conveyance constraint. The scope of this project will avoid bank erosion/collapse and will mitigate the generation of stormwater flow obstacles, and provide bank stabilization and erosion contol. This work will enhance the conveyance system for many years and specifically address the safe flowthrough of peak storm water flows.
