Description | The Escape solar-plus-storage complex in Nevada consists of 185 MW of solar capacity and a 100-MW/400-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The first phase of the project, a 70 MW solar plant, started generating electricity for Overton Power District No 5, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Las Vegas under long-term power purchase agreements in June. The additional 115 MW of solar arrays and the BESS will begin supplying MGM Resorts International later in the year. The project was built by Bechtel Infrastructure and Power Corp, equipped with JinkoSolar’s TopCon modules, and Tesla delivered the battery units. Estuary Power has secured additional financing for the project, including increased construction-to-term facility from Denham Capital and tax equity commitment from Morgan Stanley Renewables Inc. |
