Description | The Escuderos project in Castilla-La Mancha, Spain, is a hybrid renewable energy project comprising 200MW of solar photovoltaic capacity and 680MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS). Grenergy signed a 12-year financial tolling agreement for the battery storage system with an international utility. Construction of the BESS is set to begin in the second half of 2026, with commissioning targeted for 2027. The project builds on an existing daytime PPA signed with Galp in 2020 for the solar portion of the plant. |
