Description

Description

Until the introduction of ESNS Exchange in 2003 under the old name ETEP, it was very difficult for European emerging pop music artists to pursue an international career. With ESNS Exchange this changed, facilitating cross-border exchanges and successes of emerging artists. Building on the achieved results and the lessons learnt during the pandemic, the project will continue to strengthen the European music sector, the cross-border circulation of European artists and the promotion of non-national European music in Europe and beyond. The main objective of ESNS Exchange is to facilitate the circulation of European repertoire, artists, and productions in Europe and to stimulate the European music industry and media to work together to promote European non-national acts and repertoire. For 2022-2024, the priority lies in getting the sector back up and running after the pandemic years. This is done by implementing a hybrid model of presentation and promotion to increase visibility and impact on the audiences and supporting the European music sector in evolving to a fair, sustainable, and inclusive ecosystem. To strengthen the capacity of artists, dedicated educational training is delivered by the project partners to help artists build an international career. As part of the hybrid strategy, all activities, results, and impact of the project on audiences, artists and the music sector are carefully measured, monitored, and communicated in order to create more awareness of the diversity and quality of European pop music to an audience of millions. ESNS Exchange brings together European export offices, European festivals joined in Yourope, media partners and many other stakeholders, and is coordinated by ESNS, the largest European music showcase festival and conference solely dedicated to European pop music. All platform members work effectively together to bring truly European programming of emerging artists to music audiences in the EU and beyond.
