Description | Essar Bulk Terminal (Salaya) Limited (EBTL Salaya) was created to set up a dry bulk port facility to handle 20 MTPA of cargo in a phased manner at Salaya in Gujarat. The port was to handle import of coal and export of pet coke and other bulk cargoes. Essar Shipping, Ports & Logistics Ltd (Essar Group) was the sponsor. The borrower was Essar Bulk Terminal Salaya Ltd. The project cost was estimated to be INR 8.64 billion (US$190.298 million). The project reached financial closure on 11 Mar 2010 with a debt/equity ratio of 70/30. Financing comprised of Rs6.05 billion 12-years term loan in debt and Rs2.591 billion in equity. The debt was arranged by SBI capital. The project was expected to become operation in April 2011. |
