Establishing National Contact Point in the Republic of Slovenia

The ongoing health crisis has urged EU governments to launch strict national lockdowns, requiring most service and retail sectors to shut down entirely or limit their activities. With the Coronavirus pandemics negatively impacting the positive employment trends visible all over the EU, providing straightforward access to information and timely support to potential beneficiaries of the EaSI strand and enabling their easier access to fundings is more crucial than ever. Social Protection Institute of The Republic of Slovenia, endorsed by the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, will establish the National Contact Point for Slovenia to support and build the capacity of potential beneficiaries, the public, and other stakeholders in terms of participation in EaSI. Using tailored communication tools that can reduce the gap between the European and the grassroots level, the activities of the National Contact Point Slovenia will enhance access to the information for all target groups about the EaSI strand and ensure improved access to EaSI funding and financing instruments for the potential applicants. The National Contact Point will disseminate the information on the EaSI strand in the Slovenian language using different communication channels to better fit different target groups' needs and empower applicants and stakeholders to implement and understand EU policies to contribute to EU developments. We will be paying particular attention to vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities or young people, promoting gender equality, fighting discrimination, guaranteeing adequate and decent social protection, fighting long-term unemployment, poverty, and social exclusion. Following these objectives is the basis for our work; therefore, it will be reflected in the work of the National Contact Point.
