Establishment of a plant to produce Insulated Electric wires and cables

This project is meant for the production of electrical wires and cables required for the construction of houses and factories. The proposed Electric Wires and cables to be produced will be specifically used as current carrying conductors in electrical installations such as in house wiring, industrial power supply & distribution cables. This project profile provides basic information on the production of electric wires and LV cables. The envisaged plant will have a production capacity of 8,500 tons of different sizes of copper conductors such as Single core cables l.5 mm2 to 25 mm2and Multicore cables 4 x l.5 mm2 to 4x 50 mm2, including cables with mechanical protection for voltages up to l000 volts. The demand for these products is projected to rise from 32,868 ton in to 35,521 ton in 2025. The investment capital of the project is $ 5.3 million. The project will create employment opportunities for 119 persons.
