Description | Queen’s University Belfast and Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) have announced a partnership to establish Dundalk Institute of Technology as a University College of Queen’s. The collaboration aims to enhance higher education, research, and innovation in the Dublin-Belfast corridor, with the new University College expected to be fully operational for the 2026 academic year. The partnership includes embedding DkIT within Queen’s academic and quality assurance frameworks while retaining DkIT's autonomy, expanding undergraduate and postgraduate provision, establishing a Joint Research and Innovation Centre, and fostering student mobility and research collaboration. |
