The new cycle of EU Youth Dialogue focuses on inclusion and sustainable green Europe. Two big elections are coming in the next three years: in 2023 national parliament elections in Estonia and in 2024 European Parliament elections. For local youth Estonian Parliament elections are very important and that’s why ENL plans to gather ideas for youth to put together a strong platform for Parliament elections. We wish to give the space for young people to learn about elections, share their ideas for platform, make an informed decisions and understand their rights. In addition to European Parliament elections in 2024, Future Conference also continues in the first quarter of 2022, and 2022 will also be a European Youth Year. Our Future Conference delegate continues his work, but we also see that we haven’t reached as many youths as we wanted to. To improve Estonian youth involvement, we want to organize 2-3 events in January-February 2022 and run a social media campaign to direct young people to think about the future of Europe and share their thoughts on the conference webpage. Since 2022 will be a youth year, we want to celebrate that with all Estonian youth and bring youth topics to the agenda. Different environmental and sustainability topics are more relevant than ever, and we are happy to have the Youth Environmental Council advising the Ministry of Environment already, but now it’s time for the next step and starts organizing trainings and workshops to raise awareness and strengthen the inclusion of young people in the environment and climate policy and sustainability. It's also a goal to introduce and promote intergenerational dialogue.
