Contribute to solving environmental problems that result from the disorganized occupation of the urban space in the river basin of the Estrada Nova. The specific objectives are: (i) to improve the environmental conditions of the river basin through the rehabilitation and placement of drainage systems as well as organization of land occupation and environmental protection of the most vulnerable areas; (ii) to improve the conditions of life of the resident population in the zone, through urban ordering, adequate urban infrastructure, regularization of land possession, adequate living solutions and the creation of expanding areas; and (iii) to increase the operational capacity and management of those municipal institutions involved in the Program.
