Eswatini - Statistical Capacity Building Programme - Phase II (SCB II)

The design of the proposed Statistical Capacity Building Programme - Phase II (SCB II) built on the experience acquired and lessons learnt during the first phase of the Regional Statistical Capacity Building in Africa Program, managed by ECST and in which the Kingdom of Eswatini actively participated. The program activities would enhance Statistical Capacity Building through institutional capacity strengthening and training of staff of the National Statistical System (NSS), focussing on improvement of data collection, analysis, management, archiving and dissemination. By strengthening statistical capacity in the Kingdom of Eswatini, the program would contribute to increasing the capacity of the NSS staff to undertake project/program design and preparation, various feasibility and sector studies, and other country analytical work. This would include monitoring the progress towards achievement of MDGs (now SDGs) and poverty reduction efforts.
