Description

Description

ETERNAL ME goes to the heart of a technological revolution and perhaps to one of the scariest business ideas of the 21st century. Building on the suffering and hopes of the dying and their survivors, tech start-ups have caught the scent of the next big business: digital revenants of the deceased. Objectives With a budget of €1.2 million, ETERNAL ME is currently the most important project of our innovation strategy in a quickly changing market environment. The film was developed from scratch for the growing key market segment of high-end docs in order to allow a global distribution of the film for an international, young target audiences. EM is the 2nd film of the award-winning filmmaker duo Hans Block & Moritz Riesewieck. A gender-balanced, young core creative team (with the directors, DoP Max Preiss, editor Maxine Goedecke, composer Fee Kuerten being younger than 35) will be led by the experienced producer Christian Beetz, EP Kathrin Isberner and creative producer Georg Tschurtschenthaler. Innovative, first time co-operations with industry champions like the leading Dutch production company Submarine (already involved in the dev process), the investment of the US-film investment fund Impact Partners, and the consequent development of an integrated financing and distribution strategy with renowned sales agent Dogwoof guarantee the successful distribution of the film, that will strengthen the overall competitiveness of GBF on the international market, especially in the digital space. The activities comprise project management, pre-production, production, postproduction, distribution/marketing of the film. In addition to the 10 regular staff members at gebrueder beetz, approx. 20 freelance employees (directors, researchers, DoPs, editors, production staff, etc.) will benefit from the project. The expected result is a 90-min documentary, marketing materials, and a digital launch campaign for the successful production and distribution of the film.
