Ethiopia - Addis Abeba Sewerage Project , phase 1

The works conceived as a separate system will involve: - construction of 60 km of major nad minor sewers; - construction of sewerage pumping station; - construction of a sewage treatment plant. The project constitutes stage 1 of the first phase of a planned sewerage system which will serve the entire city in the future. The area to be sewered under this project was selected by the consultants on the basis of technical, economic, and financial evaluations of sewering the various parts of the city. The selected area is in the central and southern part of the city encompassing the entire business area and the fastest developing residential and industrial areas.
