Ethiopia – Seven Roads Studies

The Seven Roads Studies are designed because of the lack of proper road transport infrastructure is a constraint to development of the agriculture resource potential of the western and southern areas of Ethiopia. The studies fit into the current Government of Ethiopia’s strategy of preparing projects. It aims to improve and expend the essential infrastructure with a view to support economic and social development programs. In addition, the improvement of the roads should help to connect to the neighbouring countries of Sudan and Kenya and would lead to integration and promotion of inter-African trade and commerce. The studies also aim at the preparation of detailed engineering designs for the viable options for the execution of contract of the road sections (i) Konso- Yebello (ii) Woito- Omo Rate and (iii) Sawla- Kako.
