ETUC Standing Committees, ad-hoc meetings and preparatory meetings of the EU Social Dialogue Committee

In order to promote clear, shared, positions on behalf of the Trade Union movement in Europe, and to provide an input in the EU policy making as well as in the EU social dialogue process, ETUC has established a number of “thematic” Standing Committees. The following Standing Committees meetings proposed in this project (approximately 34 one-day meetings) will gather the ETUC members’ experts and allow for in-depth debates, consultations and discussions to take place among trade union confederations, at a trans-national level, in the following fields: Youth, Education and Training, Trade and International Development, Economic policies, Employment, Mobility and Labour Market policies, Occupational Health and Safety, Cohesion and Regional Policy, Sustainable Development, Energy and Climate Change, Social Protection, Labour and internal market legislation, Collective Bargaining and Wages, Worker Participation and Company Law, Press and Communications, Interregional Trade Union Coordination (IRTUC), Gender, Migration and Inclusion. The ETUC will also convene a number of ad-hoc thematic meetings, addressing specific key issues which are not covered by the above-mentioned standing committees. The themes of these ad-hoc committees are to be defined according to the developments in the EU policy agenda in 2022. ETUC will also organise, as part of this project, a number of preparatory meetings of the EU Social Dialogue Committee.
