BiH has been an active participant in eTwinning since the platform was launched in 2015. Since then, the country has seen numerous successful projects that have enabled students and teachers to collaborate on various topics. eTwinning has been particularly important for Bosnia and Herzegovina, given the country's complex political and social landscape, which has historically made collaboration difficult. Despite the challenges, eTwinning has enabled students and teachers from different regions of Bosnia and Herzegovina to work together on projects, promoting cross-cultural understanding and helping to bridge divides. In recent years, eTwinning has become increasingly popular in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with more and more schools and teachers getting involved in the platform. This is a positive development for the country, as it promotes collaboration and sharing of knowledge and resources, which ultimately benefits the quality of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. One of the biggest advantages of eTwinning for teachers in Bosnia and Herzegovina is the possibility of free, but high quality, opportunities for professional (self) development. Through eTwinning activities, we want to contribute to the development of teaching practice, the quality of teaching work, competencies, greater motivation of teachers. One of the major goals in BiH is to incorporate eTwinning into the curricula, as well as to find means that educational authorities formally recognize teachers' work in eTwinning activities. With the new ESEP platform, teachers will have greater opportunities to work, collaborate, cooperate and for professional development with the support of the European Commission at the European level and beyond.
