Description
Description | "Armenia joined the eTwinning network in 2013, aiming to enhance education through cross-border collaboration, digital literacy, and innovation. Participation in the eTwinning program has been part of Armenia's broader efforts to modernize its education system, particularly in general education, and to integrate into European educational networks. The program is managed by the National Support Organization (NSO) in Armenia, which operates under the ""National Center of Educational Technologies"" (NCET), a part of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport. eTwinning facilitates partnerships between Armenian schools and other schools across Europe, enabling a wide range of collaborative projects. This initiative allows teachers and students to share experiences, best practices, and educational tools. eTwinning plays a crucial role in transforming the education system in Armenia by fostering international collaboration, promoting digital skills, and improving the overall quality of teaching and learning. It provides a unique opportunity for Armenian schools to engage with the global community, enrich their educational practices, and prepare students for a digital and interconnected world. Although Armenia did not receive the grant for 2023-24, the government insisted on the continuation of the program to support teachers and schools. While the lack of human and financial resources limited participation and implementation of all activities, we still managed to recruit 166 new members and 100 schools as of April 15, 2024, and worked with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport. By continuing to leverage the opportunities offered by eTwinning, Armenia can further strengthen its educational system, enhance teachers' professional skills, and build an inclusive and collaborative learning environment for future generations.
