Description

Description

European collaboration with eTwinning projects promotes the intercultural, subject-specific (foreign) language, and digital competences of the participating pupils and teachers. As the eTwinning community offers a large spectrum of in-service-training, this unique feature makes it possible to combine eTwinning with current educational initiatives in Germany and to thus extend both its range and its structural anchoring. According to the needs analysis, the two-year work programme will focus on the following target groups: underrepresented school types such as Gesamtschulen and Realschulen, rural regions in particular in Eastern Germany, early childhood education institutions (ECEC), VET and teacher training institutions (ITE). In terms of content and events, the work programme will include a new focus on the EU-Skills agenda, the integration of STE(A)M into eTwinning projects and the further development of the digital action plan. The project will aim at pupils' democratic competences in media education and ways of dealing with new digital developments such as artificial intelligence. The initiatives launched to promote blended mobility and the integration of eTwinning in foreign language curricula will be continued. Furthermore, the project proposal clearly addresses the key objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme. By taking an integrative approach and closely linking the projects outlined in this proposal with the National Agency's work programme and regional initiatives, the NSO can adequately address all four horizontal objectives: Inclusion and Diversity, Digital Transformation, Environment and Fight against climate change, Participation in democratic life. This relates to all of the programme's work projects and will be implemented in each of the individual work packages. Finally, the annual themes of eTwinning, and topics of the European Years, will be clearly addressed during all networking events and further disseminated via PR tools and channels.
