Description

Description

NSO Ireland has identified specific objectives to be met during the project • to promote and contribute to the operation of the European School Education Platform for all European school education stakeholders, including the eTwinning community. This objective will be met by implementing a successful transition period to the new integrated platform, successful operation and management of the new platform nationally, collaboration with the CSS and being an active part of the NSO network. • to contribute to the professional development of practitioners in education and training in Europe and beyond. This will be met by providing all users with a range of training opportunities, technical support, resources and content. • to contribute to embedding eTwinning and professional development activities of the European School Education Platform in the national education systems. This will be met by identifying and engaging with stakeholders at national level, including the Department of Education, Regional Education Centres, the Professional Development Service for Teachers and Initial Teacher Education Institutions. • to increase the number of users and schools (with a particular attention towards Vocational Education and Training (VET) schools and Early Childhood Education Care (ECEC) institutions, with a view to contribute to the mainstreaming of eTwinning in these sectors and delivering on the recommendations of our previous feasibility studies in ECEC and IVET. • building on our work with our Initial Teacher Education network by providing support to their eTwinning activities, providing training opportunities for ITE providers and access to eTwinning Europe activities and events. • promoting the eTwinning schools label and increasing the number of schools with the label. • Working with our colleagues in the Department of Education to further embed eTwinning in the education system. We will place particular emphasis on having eTwinning/ESEP included in national policy
