eTwinning NSO NO

On 1 January 2020, the Directorate for Higher Education and Skills was assigned responsibility for eTwinning in Norway. This application aims to reflect that our organization is both the National Agency for the Erasmus+ programme and the National Support Organization for eTwinning. The activities, tasks and deliverables are created to develop synergies between eTwinning and Erasmus+. The Norwegian government has presented an Erasmus+ strategy with goals that are in line with the priorities of the eTwinning call. As a relatively new and small NSO, it is important for us to contribute to and learn from the CSS and other NSOs, and we aim to follow up all the administrative tasks in line with the objectives of the call. eTwinning Norway will build on the work from the past project period and try to increase the number of active participants as well as increase visibility and activity in the different parts of the project by adopting a strategic approach. Tasks in the work packages pay special attention to ECEC, VET, ITE and rural and remote areas, and the management and promotion of NQL, EQL, eTwinning School Label and various prizes. We have learned that to be able to implement the new project with the desired and needed quality, it is vital that our staff resources are increased. Consequently, we apply for a staff increase of approximately 80%. A well-developed communication strategy is essential to implement and complete the objects of the project as desired. eTwinning will be promoted as an ideal tool for building digital competences for teachers and students. The European School Education Platform and online/onsite eTwinning seminars will be promoted to ensure teachers have professional development opportunities. As advised during the training sessions, we have been brief on part 1, 2 and 3 of the application and rather focused on the work packages and their tasks and deliverables.
