To explore how ocean-based industries contribute to economic growth while promoting sustainability, focusing on employment opportunities, skills development, and policy frameworks within the EU. The proposal promoter by Sunway University of Malaysia offered by the EU - Blue Careers module promotes collaboration between the European Union and Malaysia, a developing country, to stimulate teaching and research in the field of European integration and to make information about the European Union and its policies accessible to the public. The module has as its central theme the strategies promoted by the European Union in the field of the Blue Economy. The overall objective is to ensure the dissemination of neutral, objective and accurate information about EU regulations and standards, creating a transnational network of participation in the debate on the Union, thus bringing the EU closer to Malaysian academic institutions. The module takes into account the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, strategically fitting into the framework of the objectives for the fight against climate change, for the protection of life below water and on land and the guarantee of conscious and environmentally friendly economic growth. The module was designed following an accurate analysis of training needs, which made it possible to identify specific, targeted objectives consistent with the needs expressed by the business context. A consistent alignment between these profiles and the training objectives has also been ensured, with particular attention to the previous knowledge necessary for entry and any need to fill the identified training gaps.
