" This project brings together citizens from different EU countries, inviting them to free discussions in order to increase and encourage mutual understanding and friendship between EU citizens achieving their closer integration and bonding towards strengthening of cooperation and local development. The project creates formats for the work of participants for the smooth exchange of opinions and raising awareness of the importance of strengthening the process of European integration based on solidarity and common values. One, three-day international event will be organized in Slovenia, the country of the leading partner. Up to 192 foreign participants will work, in total 220 direct participants. Preparatory activities, 3-day conference and a 1-month reporting period will take 10 months, in total. Five partners from 5 EU member states are participating in the project: Slovenia, Italy, Bulgaria, Croatia and Hungary. The final event - the international conference ""EU - Home of Common Values"" is scheduled to last for 3 days and will be organised in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. It is expected that 10.000 citizens will indirectly benefit from the project. The first activity of the Conference, the debate ""The EU in the surrounding world"" will be organised with focus on topics relevant to real achievements coming out from the history of the EU. Within the Conference, a concert of European music will be organized where participants, representatives of different cultures and communities establish connection and share common European identity. A series of round tables titled as ""EU Solidarity"" is planned within the Conference, in order to exchange examples of good practice on the topic of COVID 19 crisis and discuss recent changes in international relations. This will be followed by series of workshops. The conference will provide an opportunity for partners to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation, which creates a legal framework for joint action on future development activities. "
