After a challenging decade for the European integration process, with citizens exposed to the negative consequences of economic and social crises, further exacerbated by the impact of the CODIV-19 pandemic, the EU institutions decided to boost the European unification process by putting young people, their needs, and their dreams at the top of the EU policies and agenda. The first concrete action to implement this decision was the launch of the Conference on the Future of Europe (CoFE) in May 2021. The second act to involve youth and make their voice heard is the proclamation of the European Youth Year: 2022 will be the stage for youth initiatives. Through innovative and participatory learning, the general objective of the Project “EU ANGLE - Activate Next Generations by Learning Europe” is to create interest in the EU and raise awareness on the European citizenship, its implications, and opportunities among young students in vulnerable situations, with fewer opportunities and who dropped out of the ordinary education path. Beneficiaries of the EU ANGLE Project are at least No. 78 students per year and No. 2 teachers of the Applicant, the VET institution “Programma Sviluppo” based in Apulia (IT). The Project will offer them a toolkit to develop a perspective (an “angle”) on the EU, through a educational process that will help them understand and autonomously evaluate the educational and professional opportunities offered at European level. It will furthermore aim to enhance their social and civic competences, to become active, responsible and critically thinking European citizens. Finally, EU ANGLE intends to boost the beneficiaries skills and attitudes needed to live more sustainably and contribute to a greener future through engaging non formal and formal experiences.
