European Animation Development Labs is a project and talent development program containing two distinct and complementary project development labs: - Animation Sans Frontières, the talent development lab for junior animation professionals and their first projects. A 4×2 weeks lecture/workshop-based training programme designed to give junior European animation film and production professionals an understanding of the European and international animation industry and markets, as well the space, time and tools to develop, finance and produce their own projects, careers and eventually production companies. ASF is the perfect chance for emerging animation professionals to: • develop their own projects/companies, work in multidisciplinary & international teams • learn more about the European animation industry and markets, understand coproduction • meet a wide variety of recognised animation film, games and new media professionals • network with other European young talents and initiate future trans-European collaborations • be positioned in the vast international animation industry • be guided into alternative markets and new media solutions - AniDox:Lab, the animated documentary development platform for intermediate to senior animation and documentary film professionals With the support of the MEDIA Programme of the EU and with key partners such as the DFI, CPH:DOX, Nordisk Panorama, The Animation Workshop / VIA University College in 2012 created and began running the yearly ANIDOX:LAB training program for animation and documentary film professionals, which functions as a development lab for animated documentary projects (features, series, shorts, VR experiences, installations and more) and a networking platform for animation film directors and documentarians. In combining the worlds of animation, non-fiction and technology, ANIDOX:LAB offers experience and a deep-dive into the creative process, using both traditional and new technologies and media.
