Description | Main objective: To contribute to an increased protection of fundamental rights in the EU MS in areas such as fight against racism,xenophobia,homophobia;data protection;asylum;international judicial cooperation;radicalisation prevention;family law;procedural safeguards;judicial ethics. Specific objectives 1. To enhance EU justice professionals’ capacities to effectively and coherently apply European (CoE-EU) fundamental rights standards at national level through training on the EU Charter on Fundamental Rights,the European Convention on Human Rights,the (revised) European Social Charter,other relevant EU-Council of Europe Law. 2. To strengthen the HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal professionals) Network of Judicial Training Institutions and Bar Associations in the EU and increase mutual trust between EU practitioners. Direct Beneficiaries:650 trained+700 reached EU justice professionals;70 EU tutors;70 HELP contact points; potential extension to Albania/Montenegro/Universities/NGOs Results R1.Development/update of HELP online courses on priority topics; translation/adaptation of courses in national languages/context of MS, to inject European standards into the daily reality of EU legal practitioners R2.Improved knowledge and skills of 650 EU justice professionals on how to articulate European standards (EU-CoE) in their daily work R3.Strengthened regional HELP EU Network, enlarged pool of EU HELP certified national trainers Activities/Deliverables 1 new HELP online course; 4 model courses updated 20 translations/adaptations of HELP courses into EU MS national legal orders 22 online tutored courses launched and implemented (in face to face cross-border/cross-professional launch events) European Seminar -70 contact points:EU NTIs, BAs+key national institutions (1.5 days) Training for 50 certified EU HELP Tutors on new courses (1.5 days) Training of Trainers for 20 new EU HELP tutors (2 days) Update of HELP Human Rights Training Methodology Guidebook (+5 transl.) |
